KMG Analytics: Khomp Powerful Call Classification Algorithm

As part of a number of benefits the new KMG MS lineup introduced in the industry, KMG Analytics is a new Khomp call classification algorithm. It was designed and developed to meet the demands of a scenario that is continuously changing, and it offers many facilities.

The first one is that KMG Analytics can be fed, meaning there is no need for a new software version for every new pattern to be detected: all you have to do is install a new pattern file.

Besides being able to detect the remote answering type better than its predecessor, Call Analyzer, the new algorithm can also provide more information about the detection. In a call for which the carrier sends an inexistent number message, for instance, the algorithm not only informs the call was intercepted as a carrier message, but also that it is an inexistent number message. Analytics can also identify messages from different carriers.

Another great benefit is that Analytics can not only detect those messages before answering, as Call Analyzer used to do, but also after answering, which is something that occasionally occurs in the field.

Domestic answering machine detection was also enhanced. It is now possible to distinguish this type of answering from a long commercial answering, as long as the answering machine emits a frequency beep.

KMG Analytics is able to detect:

  • Cellular answering service;
  • Answering machine;
  • Interception through signaling;
  • Known interception messages;
  • Unknown interception messages;
  • Call forwarding messages;
  • Portability tone;
  • Calling tone;
  • Informal answering;
  • Commercial or formal answering;
  • Fax equipment answering;
  • Mute calls

Thus, once a call pattern is detected, it is possible to set an action for KMG MS to perform, such as play a voice or audio message, ignore it, or disconnect the call.

All KMG MS lineup gateways support KMG Analytics, but it is a feature that is sold separately from the products, through a license called KMG Analytics. There are 3 types of license:

KMG Analytics 1 E1/T1 – Enables call classification in a given E1/T1 link. The license can be reissued to another link in the same equipment, if needed.

KMG Analytics 16 GSM – Enables classification for all 16 channels linked to KMG MS. Once the license is issued, it cannot be transferred to another equipment.

KMG Analytics 30 VoIP – Enables classification for 30 simultaneous calls. It is not associated with the equipment VoIP channels. So, different from other licenses, this one works as a license database that is consumed as the feature is enabled.
