GSM media gateway – High capacity for handling your mobile phone calls

GSM media gateway high capacity

The KMG MS is an innovative line of media gateways developed by Khomp which is unprecedented in the global market, enabling the integration of multiple telephony interfaces into a single device. Two of its models can be exclusively configured with GSM interfaces to meet the needs of medium and large telephony solutions that demand a high mobile phone call traffic.

Some benefits of the GSM applications have already been addressed in this other blog post. Meet the KMG SBC 750 and KMG SBC 90 models, which ensure high capacity for concurrent calls for your telephony operations.

High capacity

All Khomp devices are designed with the demanding requirements of large telephony operation scenarios in mind. Designed from the ground up with an efficient and robust architecture, the KMG MS gateways deliver high processing performance to solutions based on Khomp technology. They allow you to easily add a high volume of concurrent calls.

For gateways dedicated to mobile phone operations, interfaces can be gradually added according to the demand through the use of external modules, enabling from 1 to 128 concurrent calls.

The KMG SBC 90 model accepts 1 or 2 external modules that can have 1 to 16 GSM interfaces each, being ideal for midsize operations with up to 32 concurrent calls. The second module, as well as the GSM interfaces in each module, can be acquired later according to the operational demands. Upgrade on the field is made easy by the gateway configuration web portal.

The KMG SBC 90 is designed for scenarios with more than 8 concurrent GSM calls. For a smaller number of calls, you might want to consider the UMG Modular 300 with GSM interfaces. Find out more about it here.

Indicated for large size scenarios, such as huge call centers, the KMG SBC 750 model can handle up to 8 external modules with 1 to 16 GSM interfaces each, i.e., up to 128 concurrent calls managed from a single gateway. The centralized management feature allows the definition of lower cost routes, as well as other benefits that have been explored in this other blog post.

To ensure good device performance and operation, the gateways produced by Khomp are tested under the maximum concurrent calls capacity — first in the internal testing environment, then in the field — over extended periods of time that can vary from 3 to 6 months according to the product needs.
