Do you already know how to get there? And where to eat? Get these tips for visiting Futurecom 2018 in Brazil!

tips for visiting Futurecom 2018

Are you ready for the 20th edition of Latin America’s biggest technology event? To help you take full advantage of the event, I put together some tips on attending Futurecom 2018!

How to get there?

For the first time, the event will be held at the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. Located on the Rodovia dos Imigrantes, KM 1.5, the place is easy to get to for those traveling by car, with ample parking (R$ 45 for passenger vehicles) and meeting points for taxis and application drivers.

Nevertheless, traffic jams at the peak arrival and departure times can be exhausting for those who choose to face them. For that reason, it’s best to avoid the opening and closing hours if you have little patience for losing time in massive lines of cars.

One good alternative is the subway: according to Google Maps, the distance on foot from the Exposition Center to the Jabaquara Station (blue line) is just 15 minutes. The route is safe and it passes through a residential neighborhood, but, of course, normal safety precautions are required in any large metropolitan area.

Where to eat?

Traditionally, Futurecom has always had a Food Court with a nice variety of options for all tastes.

However, for those looking for lower-cost options there are the restaurants Marmitex and Restaurante da Lu just five minutes from the location. The menus are simple, but recommended.

If you don’t mind walking a little farther, there are restaurants and diners in the area around the Jabaquara Station.

Make a list of stands to visit!

Considered to be the most important Technology event of the year for Latin America, Futurecom brings together hundreds of exhibitors and an ample agenda of lectures and congresses.

So, to avoid the “ping pong ball effect”, map out a route of stands and presentations you are interested in. One tip in this regard is to visit the Congress schedule page and also the event booth map. You can also download the Futurecom 2018 application, however it is available only in Portuguese (PT-BR).

Another suggestion is to follow the exhibiting companies you want to visit on their social networks to keep abreast of the attractions and the day-to-day activities of each one.

We will be there every day with a team of journalists to cover all of the happenings at Futurecom! Subscribe to our newsletter and find out about every detail at the event!

Networking

Futurecom is an excellent opportunity to meet new business partners. If this is your purpose, use LinkedIn to your benefit.

In this social network, you can find out in advance who is who in the organizations, which will make it easier for you to find the right person at each stand. It is also possible to get in touch with key contacts prior to the event and (why not?) take advantage of the opportunity to set up a meeting.
