To solve this, Khomp has developed the ITG 200, a platform that is focused on the integration of IoT solutions. The gateway is already being used in the Health industry, but its application spans other areas as well, such as laboratories, hospitals, food distributors, food industry, agribusiness, among many others.
Redundant transmission of telemetry information
After receiving information from the wireless sensors installed on the devices that need to be monitored, the ITG 200 gateway transmits the data to the integrator’s system through two Fast Ethernet network ports. The gateway has two SIM card slots for connection to a 3G mobile network, which ensures data transmission in case of a network failure.
Also, the product offers enhanced reliability. Even in case the Ethernet and the 3G networks become unavailable at the same time, the internal non-volatile memory is an extra guarantee for storing the data received by the sensors.
Customization to facilitate integration with IoT systems
The ITG 200 design allows it to be customized in multiple ways in order to make it easier to use. The 1-Wire ports can be connected to temperature and humidity sensors, for example, and send data to the integrator’s system. It also has one internal USB port which allows the device to be customized and integrated with commercially available wireless devices, such as wireless sensors.
An OLED screen with 4 buttons displays system information upon customization. The device is powered through an external 12 VDC power supply. Its compact footprint (7.9″ x 1.6″ x 4″) and light weight (1.3 lb) facilitate installation at any point.
