Get to know the main trends and applications of Asterisk solutions along with Khomp EBS line

Khomp EBS equipment has given Asterisk solutions developers the opportunity to work on more practical and dynamic hardware than E1 boards. Today, this union is responsible for different tools, especially PBX and dialers. But what is the next step in this relationship?

“When we talk about PBX, what we see today is a growing demand for unified communication projects,” says Rodolfo Leffa, Development Coordinator at Khomp.

According to him, the creation of oriented applications that extrapolate telephony management tends to proliferate among the clipboards of Asterisk developers. “And that goes from the possibility of extending the extensions to cell phones and external terminals to different applications of the SIP protocol,” he says.

As an example, Leffa points out the evolution of access controls. “A significant part of our Endpoints line uses this technology as a means of communication,” he says.

In relation to the dialers, Khomp’s coordinator bets on the use of the Asterisk platform as a creation tool for an infrastructure capable of supporting artificial intelligence and automated answering solutions.

“Besides the search for performance improvements by the dialers themselves, developers face the challenge of designing a foundation for application use such as voice recognition, speech identifiers, automated IVRs, and chatbots,” he says.

We will be at Astricon 2018!

If you work for Asterisk or follow the development trends provided by this free software, keep an eye on Khomp’s Blog: in the coming weeks, we will publish materials intended to explore the use and opportunities of using this technology in synergy with Khomp EBS line.

In addition, the company from Santa Catarina confirms its presence in Astricon 2018, to be held in October 9-11. The idea is to exhibit its hardware portfolio for Asterisk solutions and novelties for the expo!

Hosted in Orlando, Florida/USA, for the 16th time, Asterisk World Users Conference addresses topics such as use of Asterisk in SIP structures, testing and tuning deployments, creating custom applications using the Asterisk RESTful Interface (ARI), use of Docker and Kubernetes with Asterisk, among others.  Please visit the event website for more information.
